Cloudflare R2 client for Mac

Manage objects in an existing Cloudflare R2 bucket from your Mac with Blob0. Use the S3 API endpoint, browse files, preview supported assets, and create time-limited links for private delivery.

Use Blob0 as a Mac workspace for an R2 asset library: browse media by prefix, inspect supported files before downloading, and create a short-lived link when someone needs private access. Blob0 connects to an existing bucket; it does not set up your Cloudflare account or bucket policies.

Connect an existing R2 bucket

Create an R2 API token for the bucket you intend to manage, then use the account endpoint and Region auto in Blob0. The exact endpoint is shown in your R2 bucket settings.

S3 API endpoint

Use the HTTPS endpoint for your R2 account, typically https://<account-id>.r2.cloudflarestorage.com. Copy the endpoint shown for your bucket and jurisdiction.

Region and addressing

The R2 preset uses Region auto and path-style addressing. Keep the bucket name in the Bucket field; do not append it to the endpoint.

Bucket-scoped permission

Grant Object Read & Write to an API token scoped to the bucket you will connect. Use the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key pair from that token.

Local credential storage

Blob0 stores access keys in the macOS Keychain. The profile keeps non-sensitive connection details.

The S3 API endpoint is for authenticated object operations. A public or custom domain is a separate optional route for direct links. Cloudflare R2 presigned URLs use the S3 API endpoint and cannot use a custom domain.

Work with R2 files from your Mac

After the connection succeeds, Blob0 presents object prefixes as folder-like paths. Use the same desktop workflows whether you are managing a media library or preparing a private download.

Browse and filter

Switch between grid and list views, filter visible objects, and open a prefix to browse deeper.

Upload and download

Choose local files to upload or a destination for downloads. Transfers display progress; downloading a whole folder is not supported.

Preview supported assets

Preview supported image, video, audio, PDF, and text files in the app. Other formats remain downloadable without inline preview.

Organize within the bucket

Rename or move objects within the same connected bucket. Copy and move do not transfer objects across buckets.

Review usage

The dashboard summarizes object counts and bytes by folder and file type. It is not a Cloudflare billing estimate or account console.

Share a private R2 object

Open a file action menu and choose Share… to create a presigned download link. If the profile has a public domain, switch the share mode to Presigned before choosing 15 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days. Anyone with the link can read the object while its signature and R2 permissions remain valid.

Know the R2 client boundaries

  • Connect an existing bucket. Blob0 does not create buckets or manage Cloudflare accounts, policies, or billing.
  • The connection form accepts an Access Key ID and Secret Access Key; it does not accept STS session tokens or sign in through SSO.
  • Blob0 browses buckets in its own window; it is not a Finder-mounted disk or a full cloud-provider console.
  • Copy and move operations stay within the connected bucket; cross-bucket copy is not available.
